    Description

From 1948, this is a Margorie & James Wall Sticker Exchange roller skating rink label showing a reminder of the sticker convention at Gay Blades in New York on October 1, 2 & 3 in 1948.
Marjorie and James Wall were pioneers in the world of roller skating who were inducted into the Roller Skating Hall Of Fame.
Although they have passed on, their original rink, the Roller Dome, is still open and located in Fort Wayne, IN.
They built the Roller Dome to also include their family home attached to the back that would eventually house their 12 children who all took part in the roller rink business and competed in roller dancing and roller sports growing up.
They built several additional rinks around the country and opened other roller skating businesses such as related supplies.
They pioneered the popular all day and all night skate events among other innovations.
On the sticker you will see some wear and marks consistent with it's age as shown in the photos.
You will see some waviness, some tanning along the edges, evidence of old glue on the back plus a partial name stamp.
There is currently no active sticker/glue residue on the back.
    It measures 6" H x 4" W.
